About Us

Our Principal Surveyor, John Ross, has over 20 years experience working on vessels of many types and sizes. He carries full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance, underwritten by Lloyds of London. 

He is an Engineering graduate with five years experience as a Deck Officer in the Royal Naval Reserve and fourteen years as a professional superyacht Captain and Engineer. You can be assured that you are instructing a reliable and trusted expert.

John's many Qualifications and Memberships include:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (University of Aberdeen)
  • Malta Government Surveyor of Ships (Restricted)
  • MECAL, RYA and YDSA Examiner for the MCA Small Commercial Vessel Codes of Practice
  • Diploma in Practical Yacht and Small Craft Surveying, with Distinction. (IBTC, Lowestoft)
  • Full Member of the International Institute of Marine Surveyors (IIMS)
  • Accredited Member of the Yacht Designer's and Surveyor's Association (YDSA)
  • Committee Member of the Yacht Designer's and Surveyor's Association (YDSA)
  • Chairman and Founder Member of British Marine Surveyors, Europe (BMSE)
  • Member of the Royal Naval Sailing Association and the Royal Malta Yacht Club

Anna deals with the company administration and the all-important scrutinising of reports.   After several years working as a Lawyer in the City of London, Anna qualified as an MCA/RYA Commercial Yachtmaster and Chef working on privately-owned sailing yachts.


A number of highly experienced specialists are called on as required, these include: a Naval Architect, a Shipwright, a Rigger, a Marine Electrician and a Marine Engineer. 


We work closely with a number of Shipyards, Maritime Lawyers and Flag State technical departments throughout Europe.
